Assessment Progress Reports

At any given time of the year or your accreditation cycle, you may be preparing status updates for your supervisor, command staff, or administrators regarding the progress of your assessment(s).

Many accreditation managers spend time answering the same questions:

• Where are we at?
• How much is left?
• Are we on track?

Instead of manually creating updates, reports, spreadsheets, or emails, consider giving limited dashboard reporting access to leadership or supervisory groups who simply need visibility into assessment progress.

Doing so turns on the Assessment Dashboard view for those users, allowing them to quickly see the current status of the assessment in real time. How cool is that?

Here are the steps to give limited rights for this purpose only:

  1. Navigate to Groups (click the People icon on the far left).
  2. Find the group you want to give access to and hover to the right of the group name until the three vertical dots appear. Select Manage.
  3. Click the Rights and Assignments tab.
  4. Under the Create Rights section, check the Reports box and then click Save.

Note: PowerDMS will automatically select the Administrator Privileges box as well. That is normal for this setup.

  1. Next, click the Assessments sub-tab.
  2. Under the Add Assessments section, type in or select your assessment from the dropdown.
  3. Check the box next to Audit, then click Add and Save.

That’s it.

The next time someone from that group logs in, they will be able to view the Assessment Dashboard and monitor the current assessment status without needing full assessment editing access.
